Hi, I'm Alex! A digital creative focused on UX/UI design with a strong passion for designing products that can improve people's lives. I get a thrill from problem-solving and believe in empathy as the ultimate tool to evolve the uncertain world we live in.
I've been working as an Art Director for over 12 years at advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, DDB, and McCann and clients like Nestlé, Samsung, Volkswagen, Carolina Herrera perfumes, Unilever and Mattel. I've also been teaching Art Direction and Audiovisual Graphic Design part-time at different schools and universities for almost 5 years. Aside from being a phenomenal learning experience, it's exhilarating to witness how transformative creative thinking can be for young designers.
As an Advertising Creative, I really loved working with insights, conceptualizing ideas, and bringing them to production. However, when I studied UX/UI design, I fell in love with its methodology and user-centric approach. Testing and iterating prototypes gave me a deeper understanding of the needs I'm focused on as well as a clear path to improve everything I do. In a way, I had always tried to do so but product design has made it my unequivocal path.
My hybrid profile gives value to the projects I work on due to my wider scope of brainstorming, brand strategy, and my expertise in visual design. I was also responsible for multidisciplinary teams and felt very motivated by the enriched experience of leading and being part of a team as well as helping colleagues grow.
