As Business Development Director for Iberia and member of the Board of Directors, I formed part of an international taskforce group of specialists whose mission was to develop marketing initiatives that successfully enhanced brand visibility and sales worldwide 52 countries, initiatives that were then adapted and applied to local markets.
I was also responsible for the design and development of marketing and strategic sales development for the Iberian market. My obligations included: Change Management, design, develop and deploy special sales – marketing projects orientated to provide the agency with commercial advantages over competitors, sales training and team and brand building.
I headed many change processes both to the internal structure of the business and to the way we approached the communications management for our clients. Changes that had a positive impact and bettered not only our market position but also our capacity to close new business., Fujitsu Siemens Computers, ING Lease, Exel Logistics, Indra, Hilton Hotels, Incosol Hotels, Zumos Pago, Telefónica Movistar, O2 Helados Royne, and Polaris world were just some of the new accounts signed during this period.
My responsibilities included:
Develop and execute sales strategy for accelerating revenue growth from existing and new key clients.
Ensure alignment of internal resources to meet strategic account plans, manage the allocation of budget and recourses
Leverage CRM system to proactively initiate communication and coordination across segments to drive cross selling efforts
Manage and coach sales teams
Liaise with agencies and partners to ensure that communication and creative development is online with marketing and strategic objectives. Ensure synergy.
As Sales and Marketing Director I designed the sales model and marketing strategy adopted and promoted by the Andalucían local Government “Turismo de Salud y Bienestar” (health and wellness tourism). Strategy that later became the focus of case studies carried out by the media, conference groups and our competitors alike.
As Sales Marketing Director my responsibilities included preparing the (AOP) consistent with company strategy and long term plans for the future. Prepare and oversee implementation of advertising, PR, Communication and event management programmes and strategies with international sales and marketing partners,
Identify new opportunities and threats to the business, recommend and deliver effective and timely change accordingly.
Recruit, train and lead national sales and marketing teams. Put in place KPI ́s and reporting systems that provide essential information as to the performance of both individual team members and the business strategy laid down.
Act as the figure-Head for the organization leading its relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, government institutions and Stake Holders.
As Global MD for Europe I provided both technical and tactical leadership in defining the commercial strategy and direction of the agency. As chief ambassador of the agency I took ownership of client relations, executive team management, as well as the global P&L responsibilities for our business In Europe.
Year on year our executive team was successful in exceeding new revenue targets through direct client acquisition and the development of strong commercial partnership relations both in the UK and in southern Europe
