French native, born and raised in the French side of Belgium , who's been living in the UK for the past 6 years. I am now living in Spain pursuing my passion for freelance translations while enjoying the sun.
After graduating in Economics, I started doing various translation jobs from English to French and French to English.
I notably worked on the translation of Myagi website, Nielsen advertising content and several e-commerce websites
Benefiting from this experience, I do more than mere translations. I adapt, localize and transcreate texts, which means I find equivalences to puns, wordplays, idioms, colloquialisms and cultural references, juggling with words until they sound good to the ear, flowing naturally with style, while keeping the essence, spirit, tone and emotions of the original text.
I've worked on all kind of texts, from educational to legal and medical documents.

There is no simple word-for-word equivalence between two given languages, and translation is not always a straightforward process. A translation done by an artificial intelligence doesn't take into account many parameters, like the constraints imposed by context, syntax and figures of speech.
And of course a good translation takes more than good language skills, it also requires research, proofreading and copywriting skills.
I also attach a lot of importance to the communication and delivering a great customer services to clients, which I think is key to the success of a project. I make sure to stay in contact throughout the project until the client is 100 per cent satisfied of my work.
