Hello I’m Pankaj Kumar, SAP BPC | Group Reporting | SAC-Planning Consultant currently residing in Barcelona - Spain.

During the journey of my BPC career, I have been working with various industries and different geographical locations with complex and simple projects. This has helped me to emerge as an good consultant* in providing overall solution for all the requirements (keeping the limitation os the tool in the mind).

The importatnt aspect of my learning is:

■ To show an prototype of the solution and its flow in system for getting signed off. This way helps the projeect to close within timelines and with quality output.

■ Setting the expectations very clear from the beginning for both the parties involved in the project.

■ Raising the Red Flag in advance so that the things can be planned to overcome it without effecting the project timelines.

■ A picture is equal to 100 words - using Visio to expain the flow to achieve the solution helps to communicate better.

■ Process based solution is better than Need based solution in longer time.

■ Communicate the client to visualise how they would like to see thier BPC tool to work in near future. This helps to have a requirement from them to get a better working tool.

■ Finally, the approach to issues and it solutions determines the success of the project irrespective of the tool versions. (The technical advances will always happen).

In short I can say that, an IT tool should be an "facilitator' to run the Business smoothly.
