Work and responsibility involving *nix full stack solution design and deployment, proactive scaling and planning as well as system administration, service optimisation, L3 technical support and lead engineer project management. Tutoring and advising junior engineers and colleagues on best practice principles with main responsibilities covering application and service management, root cause analysis, solution design, build/delivery and troubleshooting of fault tolerant business critical cloud and bare metal server systems using change control and orchestration tools such as git, SaltStack and Puppet. Advanced experience with Java Application Servers (JVM) including Tomcat, JBoss AS, WebSphere running applications such as Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket and customer developed apps. Cloud service management including AWS, VMware vSphere suit. Databases; PostgreSQL, MySQL. Web services; Apache, Nginx, Varnish etc
