Javier Lourenco

Javier Lourenço is an award-winning filmmaker, creative director and entrepreneur with global recognition. As a mixed media director and content creator he focuses on provocative storytelling with outstanding art direction and character development using diverse visual aesthetics and eclectic techniques.

In 2009 he founded the collective of artists Flamboyant Paradise. As advertising creative and director, he won over 300 international awards such as Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, and The Webby Awards amongst many others. His provocative cross-genre short film “The Blindness of the Woods” was a Sundance official selection and was awarded at Milano Film Festival, and Clermont-Ferrand amongst others. His work was also exhibited in several cinema festivals such as Pictoplasma, Flux Los Angeles, Bafici and Art Futura. In 2022 Javier was a Cannes Lions’ Industry Craft jury.

In 2023, Javier founded People Like Pixels, an entertainment company dedicated to creating virtual avatars and immersive digital worlds. Its first IP, KIRĀMOMO, is a bold experiment in post-human identity and next-gen music culture: a masked, emotion-driven virtual DJ who evolved from a 3D avatar to a real-world performer. Blending hyperpop aesthetics, cyber-fashion, and storytelling, KIRĀMOMO made her IRL debut in 2025—marking the transition from screen to stage, from fiction to flesh.

With this project, Javier merges his lifelong obsession with character design, narrative, and mixed media into a disruptive entertainment format that challenges traditional boundaries between artist, avatar, and audience. KIRĀMOMO is not just a DJ—she’s the face of a future where identities are crafted, not born.
