Ruben Carrasco

I'm a full-stack software engineer with experience in multiple projects within different sectors: health, finances, social network, telecom.

I have worked in frontend apps development, mainly with Angular and Ionic, but my main expertise is with backend, from architecture design to development. I have experience with Java, Node and Go with different frameworks such as Spring Boot or Express, and using technologies like REST and web sockets for http servers mostly in a micro services architecture. I have worked with relational and non relational data bases, especially with MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis and DynamoDB.

I have experience with Kubernetes in AWS and Google Cloud Platform, working on scalable applications, taking advantage of modern cloud technologies that allow loosely coupled systems that are resilient, manageable, and observable. Within Kubernetes ecosystem I have experience with tools like Helm, Istio, Nginx or Prometheus.

I take pleasure of clear code and consider testing as a key stone of software development. I love solving problems, both real world or technical and I'm always keen to learn new technologies. I prefer to develop my work on agile methodologies basis and I am a strong advocate of devops culture.
