Maintenance and new features for the retail sector company

As a freelance iOS software engineer, my role is to design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications for Apple’s iOS platform. I specialize in creating scalable, secure, and user-friendly apps using Swift and Objective-C. My work involves collaborating with clients to understand their requirements, proposing solutions, and delivering applications that meet their business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• iOS App Development: Building apps from the ground up, ensuring performance and optimization for different iOS devices.

• UI/UX Design: Working closely with designers to implement user interfaces that are both intuitive and engaging, leveraging frameworks like UIKit and SwiftUI.

• API Integration: Connecting apps with third-party services and backends, ensuring smooth communication with APIs and other web services.

• Debugging & Maintenance: Identifying and fixing bugs, as well as maintaining existing applications to ensure they run smoothly on the latest iOS versions.

• Agile Development: Managing projects using agile methodologies, ensuring continuous delivery and iterative improvements.

• CI/CD Setup: Collaborating with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines, improving the overall development workflow.

• Cross-Platform Skills: While my focus is iOS, I can also adapt to other platforms like Android (using Kotlin) and JavaScript for web-based projects when required.

As a freelancer, I bring flexibility, dedication, and the ability to quickly adapt to new projects. I ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality.

Building a positive thinking Apps portfolio.

During my time in this position, I was in charge of maintaining and improving the code base of 5 different iOS Apps along with:

- Moving from an untestable and hard-to-understand objective-c code base to a more decoupled, testable, and scalable Swift code base.

- Run more than 100+ experiments to achieve organic growth, retention, and conversion.

- Automating continuous deployment for each App, making deployment an easy process for technical and non-technical people within the company.

- Collaborating in growing the team to 160%, helping to build the tools and processes needed to make collaboration easier.

- Onboard new colleagues to the team and ease their transition to the new place.

- Building and using all available iOS extensions like Watch and Widgets.
