I build backend systems for product teams that need to scale event flows, reduce cloud costs, or turn fragile services into production-ready platforms.

I am a Senior Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience across Python, distributed systems, event-driven architecture and AWS. My recent work includes systems sustaining 100K+ events per second, an 80% reduction in streaming infrastructure cost, and backend services for a multi-tenant platform serving a seven-figure user base.

Selected delivery experience:

- Redesigned a playback telemetry path to publish directly to Kafka, removing RabbitMQ from the critical path.

- Migrated managed streaming from Confluent Cloud to Amazon MSK and reduced monthly infrastructure cost from approximately EUR 1,000 to EUR 200.

- Built and operated 10+ production microservices with Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.

- Built Kafka consumers and Redis-backed state workflows, including event coalescing to reduce unnecessary writes.

- Increased automated test coverage from approximately 30% to 80% by redesigning Pytest and test-database infrastructure and removing flaky tests.

- Delivered tenant-aware MCP and RAG capabilities with controlled operational tools and human approval for writes.

I can own a defined backend workstream or join an existing product team to deliver Python services and APIs, event-driven integrations, cloud-native migrations, production hardening, or testing and reliability improvements. Applied AI complements my backend work; it is not a substitute for strong engineering fundamentals.
