As of April 1st, 2020, Lixoft has been acquired by Simulations Plus. Lixoft is a major player in modelling and simulation of drugs and clinical trials, and a steadily growing scientific software company, providing its software products to the pharma and biotech industry. Its Monolix Suite solution is used to study drug effects and diseases on patient populations, understand and simulate clinical trials, and characterize individual patient variabilities. I founded Lixoft in 2011 with research scientists in population statistics and modelling from Inria institute and Ecole Polytechnique. I was CEO of the company since its founding, then handed over daily operations and CEO position in 2017 to Jonathan Chauvin once the business model and durable growth were established, to work on long-term exploratory projects and new ventures for the company. Lixoft was self-financed and never required an investment round. As of mid-2022, its annual revenues, mostly software licences for pharmaceutical companies, are approximately 6M€ and EBITDA 3.5M€, both constantly growing since year 1.

I created the division to deploy the Dreem headband and Dreem sleep data analysis technologies in the context of clinical trials with the pharmaceutical industry. Dreem will transform the conduct of sleep focused clinical studies, by allowing the collection of high quality sleep data (EEG and others), including at home for decentralised clinical trials. Dreem will also enable to identify a new generation of digital sleep biomarkers and endpoints.
