As the former CTO of Athena Tech, I am proud to have been responsible for leading a team that specialized in leveraging artificial intelligence for healthcare applications. Our spin-off from the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona allowed us to develop cutting-edge technologies and innovative projects that had a real impact on people's lives. During my tenure as CTO, Athena Tech became experts in deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, and data lake technologies. As an Artificial Intelligence Director in the skin cancer field, I have had the privilege of leading a team focused on developing innovative AI solutions to improve patient outcomes. Our funded projects have included:

- SERUMS: Securing Medical Data in Smart Patient-Centric Healthcare Systems, 2019 - 2022. This € 4 370 062,50 H2020-EU funded project aims to improve healthcare data security and patient-centric care using AI.

- QUALITOP: Monitoring multidimensional aspects of QUAlity of Life after cancer ImmunoTherapy. This € 5 196 772,50 H2020-EU funded project focuses on monitoring the quality of life of patients undergoing cancer immunotherapy using AI.

- Implementació de medicina personalitzada en melanoma maligne mitjantçant AI. This Marató de TV3 funded project with a budget of € 300,000.00 focuses on the implementation of personalized medicine for malignant melanoma using AI.

- iTOBOS: Intelligent Total Body Scanner for Early Detection of Melanoma. This € 12 039 139,25 H2020-EU funded project aims to develop an intelligent total body scanner for the early detection of melanoma. In addition to these projects, I have led several initiatives and workshops in the field, including serving as Co-Chair of the ISIC Consortium AI Working Group and Co-Chair of the CVPR ISIC Workshop in 2019, 2020, and 2021, as well as Co-Chair of the MICCAI ISIC Challenge in 2019 and 2020. I also led the Digital Health Hackathon in 2019 and served as the EADV AI Task Force Lead. I am passionate about using AI to improve patient outcomes in the skin cancer field and beyond.
