Sr. Specialist – WAN/LAN/WLAN Network Engineer (Planning & Design)
Review network infrastructure design, review network facility requirements, equipment requirements. Attend project/client meetings as required. (with PM, clients and other stakeholders)
Request/pre-order network hardware, circuits and other associated network components as per the proposed solution. Support Implementation activities with post-Planning on the project team.
Creates detailed project implementation plans to establish everything required for successful implementation of the project.
Calculates budgets, monitors progress, timelines, milestones and adjusts plans as necessary to see tasks through to completion.
Utilizes electronic tools associated with project management (PMATT), .NET Network Design (Netviz), Troubleshooting (SMARTS, Netdoc), WLAN coverage (Cisco Prime), task assignment (SORTS, ESS), project productivity and documentation (HP-PPM), site details (CRELink, ATHENA), circuit ordering (OIL, iCORE, IGLOO, IOS), equipment ordering (MDSI), wireless coverage (RMAP).
Interfacing for tasks distribution (PMATTs, MACs), in a timely manner, among the team, for the requirements and planning requests received from stakeholders, Project Managers and higher levels.
