Fractional Sales Engineer for B2B SaaS & Martech — EMEA

I work as a fractional / contract Sales Engineer (SE) to help software and technology companies get their sales motion off the ground in Europe.

I focus on two types of engagements:

1. You don't have the Sales Engineer you need, where you need them.

Maybe you're a startup founder still running every demo because there's no pre-sales function yet. Or you've just hired your first European AE and they're closing technical deals alone, in CET, with no solutions engineering support that overlaps their day.

Every deal that takes a week longer than it should is a deal you might not close.

I become your senior Sales Engineer in European hours from week one — running discovery, demos, POCs, technical deep-dives, RFP/RFI responses, and solution architecture alongside your AEs.

2. Your Sales Engineering team is carrying too much that should run itself.

Your SEs are the bottleneck on three deals at once — not because they're slow, but because every process that could be automated is still manual. Demo environments, POC provisioning, technical qualification, follow-up decks, integration scoping.

You can't fix that with another hire.

Outside of direct pre-sales work, I automate almost any repeatable workflow — and layer in AI where the system can generate reliable, production-quality responses. The goal: your SE team gets their time back for the conversations that actually close deals.

On the SE side, I cover everything: pre-sales technical discovery, product demos, proof-of-concept builds, integration architecture, post-deployment work, technology partnership scoping, and enterprise security reviews. Day to day, that means writing BigQuery SQL for customer data analyses, building data pipeline integrations (GCS, S3, BigQuery), configuring API connections to CDPs, CRMs, and messaging platforms (Braze, Iterable), and running SOC2 audit reviews. Rolled out recommendation models for Traveloka (APAC) and MyPostCard (EU): custom data pipeline work, schema mapping, and direct collaboration with customer data engineering teams. Taxfix named me specifically in their onboarding feedback. POC integrations are working software. I connect prospect data to our reinforcement learning models so they evaluate on their own data before committing. Opened the first technology partnership discussions at Aampe, scoping integration architectures and turning "we should integrate" into detailed specs.

Demos covered event streaming and reverse-ETL connecting to data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift), messaging platforms, CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot), and analytics tools, built around each prospect's actual architecture. POC evaluations meant data pipeline setup, webhook and REST API integrations, schema and data quality troubleshooting, and documenting results for technical and business stakeholders. Surfaced integration gaps to engineering, scoped technical feasibility, and worked with the product on prioritisation. Also supported post-sales deployment. Warehouse-native CDP implementations need pipeline configuration, testing, and validation across multiple data sources before they're production-ready.
